The 2014 Chardonnay has a classic nose of ripe apricots, tropical fruits, ginger and butterscotch with a hint of lightly buttered toast. Medium-bodied with a lovely silkiness on the palate, it offers nice spicy stone and tropical fruit flavors and great persistence – 90 POINTS

Blue Rock 2014 Chardonnay Alexander Valley
91 POINTS
The winery's first release of the variety, this wine is sourced from several vineyards, including Sangiacomo Roberts Road in the Petaluma Gap and Sangiacomo Green Acres in Carneros. Orange-blossom aromas wrap around crisp apple and mango while the wine maintains medium weight and bright acidity, the toasted oak subtle.

Blue Rock 2014 Chardonnay Alexander Valley
92 POINTS
The 2014 Chardonnay, another new release, is a barrl-fermented blend of grapes from two of the outstanding Sangiacomo vineyards in Los Carneros and the Petaluma Gap, and the Stiling Vineyard in Russian River Valley. It is a gorgeous wine with rich tropical and stone fruit flavors and rich toasted oak. It is beautifully balanced and elegant on the palate, with a lovely finish. A terrific first Chardonnay release for Blue Rock. Only 97 cases produced.
