Winemaker's Tasting Notes
Pinot Noir comes in many styles, all of which have special places in people's hearts. We are proud to celebrate our unique California terroir and the wonderful fruit qualities that wine lovers have come to expect from our region. But we get really excited when that glorious red and black fruit is accompanied by a whole spice box of savory goodness, wrapped in a light-to-medium body with delicacy, intensity and flare. If this sounds like your kind of Pinot, our 2020 Baby Blue will deliver, delight and keep you dancing all night.
Food Affinities
Famous for its versatility at the table, Pinot can pair with just about anything. We would suggest focusing on herbs, spices, earthy mushrooms and gentle dried fruit accents with this particular bottling. Nothing too heavy or loud here, but fresh farm-to-table ingredients that want to show off their purity alongside this little wine country gem.
Ageability
Our first Baby Blue Pinot Noir will continue to evolve in your cellar for another 3-4 years, but the question is will you be able or even want to wait? Truth be told, we'd drink this nearly any night until it's all gone. Don't worry, we'll make more.
